House of Montar's Pledge to a Greener Future

I would like to take a moment of your time to share something that is very important to us - our passion for innovation in the equestrian world and dedication to a more sustainable future.As co-owners of House of Montar, it can proudly say that our mission has always been to unite fashion and function. However, as times are changing, our vision for the future has slowly been evolving and developing as times are changing.
We see House of Montar as much more than just another company designing products for equestrians; it is a brand that values the well-being of our planet and believes we, as a family, need to work together to make changes. Therefore, we are proud of our initiatives to minimize our ecological footprint.
Production:
Our journey towards sustainability begins with Montar's production methods. Our objective is to optimize our processes to align with environmentally conscious principles and ensure the durability of our products. While we're not in control of every aspect of production, we are firmly committed to environmentally conscious practices. Such as, our metered goods being reused and purchased with consideration. In addition to this, we’re working on getting different certificates on the materials (GSI) and the labels (FSC). You should already expect to notice some of these initiatives by spring 2024.
Collections:
Our future collections are expected to be products made from recycled materials – hopefully to launch already by 2025. We are dedicated to the goal that, by 2028, all items in our NOS (Never Out of Stock) program will be constructed from recycled materials certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GSI).
In-House Initiatives:
One of our significant investments has been in solar panel installations. This forward-looking approach allows us to produce green energy and reduce our CO2 emissions. Powered by our solar cells, we have incorporated air-to-water technology and charging stations for electric and hybrid cars at our offices. The move to integrate air-to-water pumps is an eco-friendly heating solution that utilizes heat energy from the natural resource.
We take pride in maintaining a consistent flow in our inventory. This allows us to adapt and align our stock with the ever-evolving needs of our customers. Our preference is to run out of stock on an item rather than overproduce and end up with unsellable products in our warehouse. This approach is also reflected in our use of textiles, where we prioritize efficient use of fabric to minimize waste and avoid deadstock—excess fabric that cannot be used. Any potential deadstock is incorporated into our collection planning and repurposed for junior collections or promotional items.
For us, sustainability is not just about planning for the future; it's about taking action in the present. We are excited about the work we are doing at House of Montar, and we look forward to showcasing the numerous collections we are currently in the process of designing. Furthermore, we remain committed to continuing our journey towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
